Project
Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK), Peoples’ Republic of China
In 1999, Andrew S. Harris prepared and presented a seminar to personnel of the Airports Department of the Civil Aviation Administration of China, representatives of the Beijing Capital International Airport and others interested in noise abatement at airports. Subsequently, Andrew S. Harris, Inc., collaborated with the Civil Aviation University of China and Beijing Uniworld Trans-Asia Trading Co., Ltd. in an analysis of airport noise issues in China. An interim report on this work was delivered in August 2003.
Under an ongoing contract, we have provided the technical specifications for an aircraft noise and operations monitoring system (NOMS) for Beijing Capital International Airport (BCIA). We are assisting the BCIA during installation of the NOMS and we will provide post-installation training for users of the system.
